Jewellery Design Centre was founded by Allan Sholem, with the intention of creating the very finest bespoke Jewellery in platinum, gold and silver. This is achieved through the combination of CAD technology with traditional techniques that Allan has been practicing for decades. The end result is a vast catalogue of stunning pieces that will be cherished forever.

 

Allan has been designing and making jewellery since the age of 14, when he began his career in London as an apprentice in a Hatton Garden work shop. From here he would go on to train at Sir John Cass College attaining his City and Guilds Certificate in Jewellery Design, Making and Engraving. He would remain in Hatton Garden for many years, honing his craft and building his reputation.

 

After two decades in London Allan decided it was time to broaden his horizons and so the decision was made to open a new store in Leigh-on-sea, Essex. Having always had a passion for technology he began his training in Computer Aided Design, bringing a cutting edge method to the processes already used in the JDC workshop. As well as this qualification he also received a Certificate of Recognition from The Holts Academy, Hatton Garden.
